PIEDMONT DOG PARKS

OFF-LEASH

Blair Park - located along Moraga Avenue between Red Rock Road and Maxwelton Road, this is a natural, unlandscaped area used mainly by dog owners.

Piedmont Park - At the center of Piedmont, east entrance is at 711 Highland Avenue and a separate entrance from Wildwood Avenue
  • 15 acres of land including a community center, tot lot, lawn, two tennis courts, and creek.
  • Bushy Dell Creek is wooded creek where dogs are allowed off-leash with a permit that can be obtained through the Police Department. The direct entrance to the Creek is from Wildwood Avenue next to Witter Field. To the right of the softball field is a path leading directly to the dog run.
Dracena Quarry Park - entrances at the end of Artuna Avenue and at 130 Dracena Avenue
  • 8 acres of land in an abandoned rock quarry, is a hidden neighborhood gem. Includes a children’s playground and lovely lawns in the lower area and an off-leash dog run in the upper area. To enter the dog run directly, use the Dracena Avenue entrance.


Linda Park - located on Linda Avenue next to Beach School
  • Consisting of two sections separated by Linda Avenue, the first consists of two tennis courts, soccer field, baseball field, and play structure. The second area holds an enclosed off-leash dog run.
ON-LEASH

Hampton Field - at the corner of La Salle and Hampton Avenue
  • Includes tennis, volleyball, and basketball courts, as well as a baseball field, backboard, play structure and children's pre-school.
Crocker Park - at the corner of Crocker and Hampton Avenue, located on property that was once the home of Wallace Alexander. It's a lovely, quiet spot to read a book on a warm summer day.
  • One acre of lawns, paths, and the famous bear sculptures Coaches Playfield - 798 Red Rock Road off Moraga Avenue
  • Consists of soccer, baseball and softball fields as well as a newly-built skate park.


OBTAINING A DOG LICENSE
Available in the Police Department on Thursdays between 8:00 a.m. and 12 noon and 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Dog License Applications may also be downloaded and mailed to the Police Department. Required for all dogs in Piedmont. Here is a link to Dog License & Off-Leash Permit Applications (PDF)

OBTAINING AN OFF-LEASH PERMIT
You may also apply for a special Off-Leash Permit for your pet which can be used at Blair Park, Dracena Park, Linda Park Off-Lease Area and Piedmont Park. For more information call the Piedmont Police Department at (510) 420-3006. Available Thursdays between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. at the Police Station.
